Main Roadkill
Road Kill's the best, of that there's no doubt
When else can you murder whenever you're out
There's no need for guilt, false sorrow or care
You can always pretend you were just unaware
Come one and all, take the wheel today
Come one and all, take the wheel today
Let's make that kill, then race on our way
If it's caught on the bend, or just over the hill
It deserves to be splattered as Main Road Kill.

Roadkill Bunny, I love you!
Bunny, Bunny, in the street,
See the rabbit, watch him bleed.
Stricken by a Chevy truck
To the pavement he is stuck
Saffron blood caked on the ground
His gory body, once fluffy and round
Now pancake flat on hard cement
His precious ears all mangled and bent.
Bunny, Bunny, heard it smack!
On his belly, tiretracks
One eye bulging, one half-closed
Blood still streaming down the road
Cars still pass the unfortunate hare
Drive right by and leave him there.
Bunny, Bunny, black and blue
Roadkill Bunny I LOVE YOU!!!
See the rabbit, watch him bleed.
Stricken by a Chevy truck
To the pavement he is stuck
Saffron blood caked on the ground
His gory body, once fluffy and round
Now pancake flat on hard cement
His precious ears all mangled and bent.
Bunny, Bunny, heard it smack!
On his belly, tiretracks
One eye bulging, one half-closed
Blood still streaming down the road
Cars still pass the unfortunate hare
Drive right by and leave him there.
Bunny, Bunny, black and blue
Roadkill Bunny I LOVE YOU!!!
The joy of roadkill
To drive a car along the road at night:
A task necessitating utmost care.
Ahead – a deer transfixéd in the light
O slave! why canst thou flee from there?
But soft! what beast on yonder windshield breaks?
The hapless buck, now lifeless in the road
-A grinding noise – the engine whines and shakes
The wheels doth screech, but movement is not slowed
The tires slippeth on the spilléd blood
A passing stranger calleth Triple-A
The carriage is now stucketh in the mud
When will the blesséd tow-truck save the day?
And since the clock has missed the hour for lunch,
Upon this venison I’ll have to munch.
